Ranting from the man who refuses to study

Just to satisfy some of my "fans"... I know that you have been asking me to update my blog again and again... Here's to you...

I won't write much this time around as I have yet to get photos of our random escapades and 'makan' trips out of my phone... But will promise to get them out soon enough...

It's been a rather crazy time since the last post and trust me, this should not be the case considering that the exams are coming up... (note: exams are to blame for the lack of blog updates... haha!)

What can I say this time around? hmmm...

Oh yeah! I got me-self the Zippo! Two in fact... For those of you who remember my last poll and voted, thanks! for those who didn't give a two shit about it... THANKS! You REALLY helped my decision... HAHA!

This looks to be a really lame blog post, so I'll have to keep it short...

Music I've been hooked on...

CDM Vol 13...

LOADS of Audiophile discs... Like old Shanghai-nese Jazz... Finally making those RM150 discs worth their money...

I'll 'promise' to get the photos out of my phone soon and update my blog with them aite???

Till then... Tooderah!

The pictures as promised... and a bit on the side...

Hey there... got back home and the internet is being a biatch... as usual...

Got the pictures uploaded as promised anyway...

First things first... Yesterday, came back with four 5L empty kegs of German WeissBier and DunkelBier with my parents... You could say we had fun... hahaha! Didn't come cheap tho... Haha! We actually drank till they closed and still stayed there with PLASTIC cups cause all their staff had to leave at 1200am... HAHAHA!!!

Here's proof... we brought the kegs back home... all empty... Dry to the pit...

And if some of you peeps have trouble believing that they were all 5L kegs each... here's more proof... haha!

Oh yeah... and just to show that I was still rather sober.. I took out all the Shell car collectibles from their TINY boxes and placed them in this... And if some of you who know how much this PLASTIC casing is, you'll kick me... It's RM60 for a piece of junk like this... But hold that thought for a minute and consider that I did not have to pay for it... Thank god for Bonuslink... haha! Redeemed it for only about 5,000 points I think...

And yes... Here we go... Our "RANDOM-NESS" escapades!

Imagine if you may... Three REALLY bored people get together and decide that, today, they shall do whatever they so wish, at the spur of the moment...

Thus, you get, a hot chick, a ghetto brother and a Chinese chauffeur, going all the way to Ikea...

Wait for it.............. JUST FOR SOME HOT DOGS!!!

HunsBuns wasn't really as excited as she looked in this picture... HAHA! (and to prove that Jeff is not a very good cook, look at his two hot dogs next to mine... Pathetic! But then again, mine looks really really sinful... HAHA!) We must have had in total 6 hot dogs if memory serves...

Every good meal must end off on a sweet note... What else is sweeter than ICE CREAM!!!

Jeff kinda got the meaning of candid photos a bit construed to a particularly weird direction... He thought it was the camera person's job to be candid to get a candid shot... HAHA!!!

Got Milk?

HunsBuns pulling off her sultry look... (Note to self: Ikea had many pairs of eyes that went astray... HAHA!) Hanie doesn't even need to try, but when she does... OUCH!

Hot Dogs : RM12
Ice Cream: RM 3
A classic moment with friends: Priceless

There are some things money can't buy, for everything else, there's loose change somewhere...

And to make things worse for my dear Shelva, I had NASI LEMAK AYAM & INDOMIE GORENG @ S.E.A. Park!

Sorry peeps... only took the picture of the Nasi Lemak... But nonetheless:-

MAY I PRESENT TO YOU, THE BEST NASI LEMAK IN THE KLANG VALLEY!

After being dragged to The Gardens @ MV again yesterday... Here's what we discovered...

(Disclaimer: HARAM! This does not contain HALAL-FIED Pork...)

This was at some Taiwanese place... (For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the place...) It's opposite Flying Chilies (That Thai restaurant which I would also recommend... Will get to show you peeps the next time i go there...)

Taiwanese pork sausage on glutenous rice... Unique blend of taste and texture... Quite liked it actually... The rice was cooked well with no trace of it being grainy... felt more like mash actually...

Pork Intestine Mee Sua Soup... I think that there is no difference in vocabulary between soup and gravy in that kitchen of theirs... It was more like mee sua in gravy or sauce... But nonetheless, another unique dish for me... But I would have preferred it if they did not take THAT many shortcuts cooking it... I've made something similar before and it took me ages, but twas all worth it...

As is with everything she comes into contact with... She was easily amused by the cup with the dog's tail (ASS) on it... Sort of says allot about what the staff think of us huh??? They think we should drink out of a dog's ass... HAHA!

Now that I have whetted your appetite enough... Here are some shocking discoveries...

Parental Advisory: Errrmmm... Parents... even you need to exercise some from of discretion...

SENGIOR HEFF... In the flesh after a footsal game... (Not to mention that, during the game, as he ran, Sumatera sank... And when he fell... Venice dipped a few feet more...)

NOTE: As this was a mixed game (both hunks and chicks for those of you who feel particularly slow today...) Jeff couldn't help it but to wet himself after causing a stir with his "tent" throughout the game... tsk tsk tsk... Control yourself mon ami...

Last thing I did today was chill with Dan and my dear Nells... She rants, she raves, she's like the railroad... CHOO CHOO!!! (Sorry, no photos there... was too whacked out... long day...)

Here's what I've been raving about lately...

I WANT A MACBOOK!!!

Here's the thing... It's about nearly RM6k here in Malaysia for the top end model and only USD 1499 in the US... Its almost like a RM1000 savings...

Hanie's friend is coming back to Malaysia soon from the States, but considering that I don't know her friend at all... well... It feels awkward asking someone to help me buy this and carry it all the way to KL for me... Like SERIOUSLY... esp since we have not met or even know each other at all... SO... looks like I'll just have to wait till I can scrape another RM1,000 to get my 5yr old laptop replaced...

More stuff about TODAY coming soon as soon as I get the pictures...

And me? I'm

DROP

DEAD

TIRED!!!

p.s. Can't wait till my dear Shelva gets back from Cameron Highlands...

Ranting in the postgrad study area...

How apt...

I was SUPPOSED to have studied in university since this morning.

Its now, 2050hrs and I am in the postgrad study, updating my blog...

Lets leave it at that ok?

OHHAHHHEEEGAARR!!! (pardon the gibberish, hungry as hell and a bit hyped up for no reason at all...) Got some pictures to show you peeps once I get back and get them out of my phone...

Will do that tonight.

By the way, I've randomly got the urge to get myself a cheap zippo lighter... Don't ask why...

Hanie, I blame you for my randomness today... HAHA!! (Love you to bits anyway... and yes... you too Jeff... so don't emo ok???)

I've surfed the ever so faithful auction websites and was these caught my eye... Check it out...

Simple as they may be... But I am looking for a simple one... unless the design is totally wicked of coz... Personally... I like the white one... Quite unique and somehow... I'm into white lately...

Please help me choose by filling in the poll on the left and if you guys have any suggestions other than these ones... Please let me know by posting a comment... Thanks loads!

And oh yes... I've got to shout!

WHO WANTS TO GO FOR KLue URBANSCAPES?

Lets all go aite? Sounds like heapfulls of fun...

We'll all go as a group and partay till the sun don't shine...

Till later... (when i get the photos out of my phone...)

Peace!

Do you believe in miracles?

Well? Do you?

Somethings may seem like miracles in the beginning, but come to think of it, is it really the invisible hand of something/someone for which we deem to be the higher being?

Or is it just the very fact that SOMEONE forgot to get something done...

Or just the very fact that when we get desperate, any small amount of change in a favorable direction is deemed a miracle?

In times of need, don't we actually start opening ourselves up to the endless possibilities presented in everyday life and either blindly or carelessly, take the risk without consideration of consequences?

Haven't you found yourself reacting to something in a way which you never thought you would when confronted with great desperation?

Just a nonsensical rant....

On a more realistic note...

A "miracle" happened... through the stresses of having 2 papers to hand in on Monday and Tuesday, causing me to go blind and develop carpal tunnel syndrome, today's test is POSTPONED!

JOY!

But if you'd ask me, I swear that a certain PLO-VE-ZAR couldn't give a two shit about drafting the exam paper for us... But anyway... good news nonetheless...

But wait... there are more "miracles" than that in life...

Shelva got herself a JOB! WITH A WORKING PERMIT!!!

REJOICE!

How many more "miracles" do we need?

But wait... there's more...

How many times have you entered a company, and before you start working, you go on a company holiday to Cameron Highlands?

I need not say who...

Well... That's enough good news for a day, don't you think?...

Who's up for tea?

It seriously sucks to be me right now.

Reality sucks...

Haven't we heard that over and over again? But then again, as the title would suggest, it SERIOUSLY sucks to be me right now. I've given in to my arch enemy, procrastination, AGAIN!

Reality check...

I've got a comprehensive report due in later this evening. Of which, I am barely skimming the surface of as I further procrastinate by updating my blog. Had another one which I had to pass up yesterday. For which I had only 4 hrs of sleep the night before. Combine the hours of sleep I had for the last 2 nights and you get one narrow eyed panda bear (added to the fact that I've been eating truckloads due to the stress). And just when you thought it could not get any worse, I've got a test on Wednesday. YIPPIE! (For those of you who cannot sense the sarcasm, well... Stop reading my blog...)

Therefore, those of you who've been asking me to go out for TT (Teh Tarik) sessions and clubbing, well, sorry chums, this panda's got to chew his bamboo harder and for much longer. Will make it up to you peeps next time ok?

Anyway, its been a while since my last entry... and... well... where do I start?

Oh yeah... There is that time where Nelly (love you to bits, though I hardly see you), Shelva, Jeff, Prem, Darren, Nelly's friend (so sorry I forgot your name, kill me if you may, I owe you a drink) and I went to the RSH warehouse sale. Twas on 30th April if memory serves. Anyway, got myself two new pairs of rubber.

Here's the Jerez3.
(Totally whacked out soles, mimicking the Eagle NCT5, would have preferred the one with the Eagle F1 sole, but then again, beggars don't choose.)

Don't know if you peeps can see it... But it says "GOODYEAR" at the back... *grins*

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you, the Tie Break! (accompanied by a very fat leg encased by CK jeans)

And yes, I am a self professed Adidas freakazoid!

Jeff, by the way, HAD to pick the same pair of shoes as mine... COPYCAT!

Oh and did I mention the heard of crazed bargain hunters?

Albeit the spending with lots of guilt... My parents went to look for training shoes that Saturday after... Heh... training shoes huh? They spent RM1,004! Fudgin 'ell! I spent mere hundreds and I took a guilt trip to Timbucktoo! (not the country if you'd notice the spelling) Holy sheait!

Whilst I am on the topic of shopping, ever heard of a shopping spree without having to pay a cent? No, I am not joking/being sarcastic/crazy. Well, as soon as my mom returned from Padang, Indonesia, we went on a (cashless) family shopping spree at the HSBC Rewards Fair @ MV. Had over a million points to dunk and still had about 600,000 points left after the whole shopping spree.

Dad got himself Sennheiser headphones. (Wicked!)

Mom got a Tefal steam iron, new set of pots and pans, a hand held food processor, (ominous signs that she wants me to cook more).

Got IQ games for my grandpa who adores them, a spinning ring for myself (will show you guys soon enough, totally wicked and totally addictive), a Golla pouch for the ever so irritating BlackBerry, tons of Baskin Robbins for all, Benetton leather wallet for Shelva, an Elle bag for my mom, and the list goes on and on. Regretted not getting the new iPod touch though. But nevermind, I can still get it through the mail.

Now... On to food...

Stuff I made...

As you can probably tell... I don't have much time to cook or make anything as of late... So... you guys will just have to suffice with this...

Frozen Margaritas! (with 5 times the normal dose of tequila)

Stuff I had...

'Kai Si Hor Fun' (Imbi)
Had not been there for months... Craved it like stank... Went all the way to downtown KL just for it and came back home immediately after. Haha! Shows you how random and desperate I can be at times.

The sight that never fails to whet the taste buds...

At an old rustic place, with a friggin' LCD telly... What Zhe Freak! Quite out of place don't you think?

La Suisse (Bkt. Damansara)
Now, if you think that my cravings usually kill me after weeks of withdrawal like the example above. This is one for the record books... I can't even remember how long it has been since I was last at La Suisse.

Some things don't change, some things shouldn't change, like quality rustic food.

Lamb Provincial... Simple looks, yet plays tricks with your mind (kinda like women if you ask me)...

Even the ever so simple Fish and Chips, cooked to perfection. Fish was creamy, full of flavour, the freshness, not tampered with heavy tasting batter. Top that off with freshly made tartar sauce with bountiful heaps of dill...

Finish that off with heated red wine with cherries and freshly made vanilla ice cream... Sinful!

Been listening to allot of Jason Mraz lately... Addicted to his new EP, We Sing... only 4 songs in it... but nonetheless, its the quality, not the quantity...

Car problems galore... This time, I have vandetta against Proton as with all other Proton owners out there. The power window gave way, AGAIN! This time it was on the right (not too long ago, I changed the left hand side window regulator). There goes another RM300! The Benz on the other hand, dealt a RM2,000 blow to the purse with broken valve seals and a leaking head gasket. Imagine, V8, 32 valve seals, 2 heads + 12 liters of engine oil, axle fluid, radiator caps, etc. ALLOT TO CHANGE! Luckily, prices were good by staying loyal to my mechhie @ UT.

Oh yes... from the Monash University Street Carnival, I bring you... an utter fool who knows no shame, running across the front of the stage with a stark red umbrella in the middle of a cover song... HAHA!

Actually, by updating my blog, I am saving my testicles as a few people have taken advantage of my offer for them to kick me in the gonads should I not update my blog anymore. So this entry is for my gonads.

Another one waiting to be demolished...

Looks like I am at it again...

When will I ever learn???

When will I listen to my friends when they tell me to stop trying to set up a blog when I know I don't have the determination to keep one?

Well... nonetheless, THIS IS ANOTHER ONE...

If you so happen to see me go astray and not update this one... Kick me in the gonads and either:-

1. tell me, "I told you so!"
2. tell me, "Stop mucking about and go update that fuckin' blog!"
3. just kick me in the gonads and hope I get the message... (or I'll just kick you back if I don't)

Speaking of things getting demolished, had one of the worst nights ever (tossed and turned in bed till 0430). And if that was not enough, two jackhammers decided to go off at like 0730 this morning... Now full blown into a crescendo of a full orchestra comprising of two air powered jackhammers with its air generators, four hammers, three saws and one numbnut shouting all over the place...

Not that I am saying that they have finished whilst I type this... (which will probably explain why I am bonkers enough to start another blog, probably just to get my mind off the constant pounding and rattling directly behind my house...)

I can only hope that some stoopid associate professor does not get all emo on us in todays lecture due to HIS lack of teaching skills which somehow he does not realize that his incapabilities are directly co-related to the lack of student attendance (or as he likes to call us, 'Masters Candidates')...

With only barely 3 hours of sleep... I can only hope that my fuse is long enough to 'tahan' his antics...

On a lighter note... finally got down to actually making my Chippie batter... Been wanting to make the original batter with lager beer for years, but been putting it off till two days ago... I dunno about you guys, but I absolutely ADORE my chippie! (Fish and chips for those of you who don't speak 'London') So far, its worked on chicken chops, prawns (some pretty big ass ones), vegs (esp carrots & lotus roots) and mushrooms... I know... it's for the fish and of all things to fry it with, I DIDN"T fry it with fish... But then again... I was being a lobster... "MALAS"!!! (Sorry Dan...) Pictures will be up when I actually make it with FISH...

S
peaking of lobsters... I actually looked like one a night or two ago... Red as STANK!... No thanks to the MUSA Street Carnival... Had fun nonetheless... Did some CRAZY stuff!!! Nonsensical! We went BALLISTICS!, BONKERS! I tell you... Here's a short preview:-

1. Moshed as HELL
2. Burnt like HELL
3. Laughed like HELL
4. People ate like HELL
5. We fought like HELL
6. We rode like HELL
7. We spun like HELL
8. We 'jolok'-ed like HELL
9. We 'soulja-boy'-ed like HELL
10. We swung several REAL 100 USD Dollar bills in front of the stage like HELL
11. and did I mention that we came out as crispy as HELL?

The only heavenly redeeming thing was Hani's singing... You go gurl! Show opener... was a sign of good things to come...

Not to forget, the hype stirred by Jeff and Ik... Popular 'siot'!

Yes, and curse me should I forget, Rachel and her dance troupe were totally WICKED! Shake that booty! Haha! T'was all good...

(give me a pic and this spot here is yours Rachel)

Finally got to meet up and have a drink or two with Amil (Lead guitarist of Dragon Red) @ AC. Its been a while since we met... Seems like he is happy with his job despite the inherent moral dilemma of selling cancer at BAT...

To keep it short;
some came out happy, others did not...
some came out sober, others did not...
some came out with loads of pictures, others (I) did not... (Thank god for 'Mukabuku') ----->
some had a blast, others just had fun...
some came out loved, others... well... emo 'la'!
